For all the information you'll need click on the link below Daniel Thorpe wins BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2010 31 January 2010 Daniel Thorpe wins BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2010Daniel Thorpe - fiddle (Inverurie) Daniel has been brought up with traditional music and was involved with many groups including the Garioch Fiddlers. He studied traditional music in Plockton before graduating with honours from the RSAMD. He is now performing with ceilidh band 'Heuch' and Canterach with whom he has performed all over Europe. Six musicians were chosen from a field of twelve; pictured below, on the 3rd October, in Coulter Hall.

The semi-final concert takes place in Coulter Hall, Coulter, on Saturday, October 3.

From pipes and song to fiddle, accordion and harp we’ve got an excellent night of music ahead on Saturday 3rd October in South Lanarkshire.
